Gossip
My great passion is songwriting.
Each song I have composed has
been a fascinating and emotional
journey for me. Some of these
journeys have been longer than
others.
For instance, it was over 5
years ago when a friend came to
me about a problem with his
girlfriend. He described his
feelings of jealousy and anger
so vividly, that I could almost
experience these feelings
myself. Later the same day, I
wrote the music and lyric for
the first verse of ‘ke hunchha
kunni’ 10 minutes flat. It
wasn’t until more than a year
later that I was able to compose
the rest of the song. It took me
some time to imagine how my
friend had felt, and for me to
create the complete song lyric.
I gave the song to another
artist for recording. However, I
wasn’t impressed with his
interpretation so, at last, I
recorded it myself a year ago
for my latest album. It has
turned out to be one of my most
popular songs. As people say -
‘Pratiksha ko phal mitho hunchha’.
